Name of Project: Treasure Hunt
Date of the Project: May 23, 2010 (Victoria Day)
Describe your project: Our project will be a market where residents can come to sell their unwanted treasures and other neighbours can come to hunt for newfound treasures. Residents can rent a table for $10 for the day. We will be hosting a free bar-be-que through M&M Meats shops, to encourage neighbours to come out and shop.

Who is organizing this project?: I am organizing this project with four neighbours from my cul-de-sac.
How will this project involve other people?: This project will bring people from all over the neigbourhood out to participate either as sellers or buyers.
How will this project make your neighbourhood better?: It is a great opportunity to meet more neighbours. It helps to keep our old treasures out of the landfill.
What will you spend the grant on? (List specific items and their cost) : Flyer printing – 1000 flyer for $70.00, Drinks - $200.00 (partly donated by safeway), Rental of 50 tables $250.00 ($5 per table), Signs for the day of the event - $100.00

Name of Project: Spring Clean Up
Date of the Project: June 5, 2010 (1:00 – 4:00)
Describe your project: Our project will bring people together to clean up our public and shared spaces in the neighbourhood. At the end of the clean up everyone will meet for pizza in a local park.
Where will your project be held? : schools, playgrounds and public areas
Who is organizing this project?: I am organizing this project with my friends from the parent council.
How will you involve other people?: We will deliver flyers and encourage neighbours and friends to participate and we will put up flyers in schools, neighbourhood stores and other public places.
How will this project make your neighbourhood better?: People from the neighbourhood will have a chance to meet neighbours that they haven’t met yet, residents will feel proud to live in a clean neighbourhood and it will encourage everyone to help keep our neighbourhood clean.
What will you spend the grant on? (List specific items and their cost): garbage bags - $50, tools to pick up garbage - $250, printing 500 flyers - $35, pizza for participants - $175.00 ( we made a good deal with a local pizza store), Pop – donated by local grocery store
